The third Cody Rhodes vs. Brock Lesnar match will reportedly take place at WWE SummerSlam in Detroit, as Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio revealed earlier today. On this afternoon’s episode of Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez revealed that he has been informed that the match will have a clause that hasn’t been present “in a while.”
Regarding the match, Alvarez stated, “I’ve been told it’s going to be something. “It won’t just be a direct fight. They apparently have some form of stip that has been missing from our view for some time, which excludes Hell in a Cell. Therefore, I’m curious as to what the stip would be for the third meeting between these two. Alvarez snorted, “I really hope it isn’t ring of fire,”
No other information is available, however it is noteworthy to note that #BWE (Better Wrestling Experience) broke the news last week that a dog collar match had been proposed but the concept had been rejected. Since his father Dusty and others, including Greg Valentine and Ric Flair, implemented the Dog Collar match stipulation in the 1970s and 1980s, Cody Rhodes is a big fan of it. Cody faced Brodie Lee in an AEW Dog Collar match.
