Damian Priest & Seth Rollins have agreed to a surprise WWE championship deal
Some big changes are coming for WWE Raw, following a landmark agreement between Seth Rollins and Damien Priest regarding their big-budget world heavyweight title match
Seth Rollins was once again impressive on Raw in Corpus Christi during an emotional WrestleMania 40 weekend. He wasted no time in announcing his intention to reclaim the world heavyweight title. Rollins originally planned to compete in the Money in the Bank ladder match to get his title shot. However, Damien Priest upped the ante with a brilliant statement.
In a surprise move, reigning World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest directly challenged Rollins, who gave him a title shot at the Money in the Bank event and Rollins who was wary of The Judgment Day’s possible plans expressed his concern. But Priest assured him that his judgment was independent and that his team was unaware of his move, so the contest was firmly established.
Damian Priest’s future on The Judgment Day in Jeopardy
Fast forward to Raw in Indianapolis, and it looks like Damien Priest is making decisions that are more independent, once again removing himself from his team, Judgment Day. The two superstars had a strong interaction in the ring, where they made a “gentleman’s agreement” that would add more drama to their title match
Under the terms agreed upon, if Damien Priest emerges victorious, Seth Rollins will be banned from the World Heavyweight Championship for as long as Priest retains the title. On the flip side, if Rollins takes the gold, Damien Priest will be forced to miss The Judgment Day. This bold move by Priest resulted in an erotic statement: “They need me a lot more than I need them.”
This declaration could not come at a more turbulent time for The Judgment Day. Despite Priest’s assertion, the faction demonstrated their strength by capturing the World Tag Team Championship in Raw’s main event, showcasing their continued dominance.
