It was rather shocking to a number of viewers when the British WWE superstar, Wade Barrett, whose performing ability and natural charisma have always been appreciated by the WWE audience, is currently engaged with a new emerging and popular gimmick in the Friday Night SmackDown show.
Barrett, 43, came back to WWE this year after being inactive for a while and he transitioned from the ring to the headset as commentator. This metamorphosis, which seemed quite surprising to many, has turned out to be ideal for the ex-Intercontinental Champion.
Speaking to DAZN, Barrett remarked on the current position with Corey Graves, though he stated being glad with the commentator’s job and the friendly relations developing between him and Graves.

“During my run as a commentator for WWE I have been very lucky,” Barrett remembered. With Vic Joseph in NXT for a couple of years before moving to share the desk with the legendary Michael Cole for about 18 months those few years were so important for me.
But it is the current pair up with Corey Graves that makes the most satisfaction to Barrett. “Working with Corey is a different coordination,” he continue. “He and I have a side by side experience inside the ring and that kind of gives a different perspective while analyzing the match. Cole and Joseph while having their own specialties, Corey and I somehow have a different aura going on, and the fans do seem to like it.”
Barrett’s switch to commentary has not only revived his WWE career but also he is being appreciated for his valuable comments and his uniquely interesting way of presenting the same. Another benefit of such a format is the match analysis together with current impressions allowing the fans to get the maximal value from the performance.

“Wade Barrett brings a unique blend of knowledge and enthusiasm to the commentary table,” remarked one fan on Twitter. “His insights as a former wrestler add so much to the matches. Loving him on SmackDown!”
Another fan echoed similar sentiments, saying, “I didn’t expect Wade Barrett to be such a natural behind the mic, but he’s really grown into the role. His chemistry with Corey Graves is fantastic!”
Barrett’s transition from the ring to the commentary booth is a motivational tale of rebirth in the professional wrestling industry. His accomplishments in this new position highlight WWE’s dedication to giving its athletes a wide range of opportunities to succeed.
Barrett is excited to keep improving as a commentator and to keep entertaining and engrossing WWE’s global audience. He is upbeat about the future.
Wade Barrett’s work behind the commentary booth on Friday Night SmackDown is expected to be crucial to the show’s continued success as it captivates viewers around the globe. Fans can count on nothing less than the best every week thanks to his unwavering talent as a commentator and his passion for professional wrestling.
Whether calling the action or sharing his expert analysis, Wade Barrett’s journey as a commentator is a testament to the enduring magic of WWE and the limitless potential of its superstars, both in and out of the ring.
