ROH TV’s next episode (June 15, 2023) features two title matches, a Proving Ground match, and a peacock slaughter.
A former ROH tag team champion challenges Samoa Joe. He has been challenged to compete in the ROH World Television Championship by Sydal. Sydal is coming out hot from a one-match win streak in ROH. Joe will face Sydal for the first time in singles action. If Joe is able to handle Sydal’s speed, that will be the question.
Although Athena hasn’t outdone Kiera Hogan yet, she will soon face Trish Adora in a Proving Ground match. If Adora can prove her worth by drawing to the time limit or even claiming a victory, the ROH Women’s World Championship could be within her reach. Adora may have lost her last two matches – putting her at 2-2 on ROH TV overall – but don’t let that fool you; the Tubman Lariat is enough for one to know she has the potential for great feats. It would not be an unfair shocker if Adora snagged a win, so with that being said, Athena must take extra precaution in this possible risky match.
Brian Cage, Bishop Kaun, and Toa Liona are ready to dominate as ROH six-man champs. AR Fox, Darius Martin, and Action Andretti will follow. Stokely Hathaway, who was recently appointed to the ROH Board of Directors, suggested this matchmaking. Originally, Hathaway thought Andretti would face the Embassy alone, but Tony Khan intervened and added Andretti’s partners to make the contest more fair.
When Dalton Castle & The Boys wrestle The Righteous & Stu Grayson, ROH’s board of directors are slaughtering peacocks. It sounds like the Righteous intend to pluck a few feathers. Vincent and Dutch warned Stu to watch the Dark Order’s work on this show after Stu was not impressed with their performance last week. Castle’s crew isn’t a pushover, so this should be a fun match.
As the Iron Savages rise up the card with their new clanging and banging gimmick, former ROH tag champs Tracy Williams & Rhett Titus will be a huge step up in competition. The result should reveal how ROH views both teams in the future.
In an attempt to regain the ROH Pure Championship, Daniel Garcia confronted Katsuyori Shibata. Garcia will face NJPW LA Dojo student The DKC in a Pure rules match.
A second-generation wrestler, Teal Piper, returns to Tony Khan programming. The daughter of “Rowdy” Roddy Piper probably won’t do well against Diamante, but it’s always nice to see such wrestlers in the mix. Deimos is flanked by her for his fight against Nick Comoroto.
For the ROH TV card, which matches stand out to you?
