While being a WWE Intercontinental Champion, Dominik Mysterio always has something to share, but his recent story about a police problem he got into years ago was something different.
Introducing “What’s Your Story?” Stephanie McMahon asked Mysterio to honestly tell about a time in his youth when he traded a knife for money, encountered school officials and had to face up to the police.
Mysterio was still learning who he was when the incident occurred during his school days. He told how, when he found two little knives at his father’s gym, his curiosity got the better of him. Because the idea of unlawful items and the children’s reactions fascinated him, the little Mysterio kept the knives instead of giving or moving them.
Soon after, that inquiry got underway. Mysterio traded two of his smaller knives on the school bus for a bigger knife. Even with dangerous tools, swapping was a childhood pastime and noticed. The administration quickly became worried after a student witnessed the deal and told the school about it.

Mystere became very anxious when the school office called him in later that afternoon. Because he feared what the police would do, he hurriedly dropped his bag of knives among the nearby plants and quickly moved in.
The plan failed to last. After spotting the backpack, school authorities took it and then contacted the police after realizing it had a firearm. Even though Mysterio did not face legal charges, he realized just how much of a problem it was. The school called his mother in after he was suspended.
He realized after that he hadn’t comprehended how important what he did was during that time. During the interview, he said, “I wasn’t trying to hurt anyone, I just thought knives were cool.” It didn’t even occur to me to think about what might happen.
That event was particularly significant for Mysterio at that time. Though it was hard, the ordeal encouraged him to become both a better person and performer in his own words.
He seems less outspoken on Raw than he often is on WWE television. When we say Lucifer, we immediately think of trickery and he really likes to take control when the world becomes a mess, mostly on The Judgment Day. Even with the drama, these stories show people that the actors are just portraying characters they have faced and beaten in their own lives.
Many fans are pulled in by the idea of Mysterio simply from hearing about him. WWE focuses on you improving, messing up as a teen and transforming into a different person than just a winner in the ring.
