How we rate rumors
| Rating | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Confirmed | Officially announced |
| Likely | Reliable reports or strong evidence; not yet official |
| Speculative | Single or unverified source |
| Debunked | Denied or proven false |
We publish a WBC rumor only when it comes from an identifiable source, and we never publish rumors about athletes’ private lives, health or legal matters. When a rumor is confirmed or denied, the story and its rating are updated.
