Undisputed status — all four major belts at once — has become boxing's most valuable currency, and 2025 delivered four undisputed title fights. Riyadh Season, backed by Turki Alalshikh, has staged many of boxing's biggest cards since 2023. The Ring's 2025 awards, presented at its second annual gala at Cipriani in New York, went where almost everyone expected: Terence Crawford was Fighter of the Year for his decision win over Canelo Álvarez, which made him undisputed super middleweight champion two weight classes above his previous peak.
