What happened
Britain’s Niall Darwen won the 2026 Classic Physique Olympia ahead of Germany’s Mike Sommerfeld and defending champion Ramon Dino, the division’s second new champion since Chris Bumstead retired after his sixth title in 2024.
Our take
Classic Physique was built around Bumstead for six years, and the open field since has made it the most unpredictable division at the Olympia. Darwen’s win rewards balance and flow over raw size, which is exactly what the division’s height-to-weight caps are meant to encourage. Dino dropping to third after one year at the top shows how close the top five are.
