What happened
Survivor Series 2025, held outdoors at a baseball stadium, was built around two WarGames matches, and the heels won the one that mattered more. Bron Breakker speared CM Punk for the pinfall after a masked man attacked Punk, sealing a win for a team of Breakker, Bronson Reed, Logan Paul, Drew McIntyre and Brock Lesnar over the company’s top babyfaces.
The result that aged best: Dominik Mysterio beating John Cena for the Intercontinental Championship in Cena’s farewell year. Liv Morgan‘s interference with the belt was classic Judgment Day, and taking a title from Cena gave Dominik a credential that no amount of crowd heat could buy.
The 2026 edition is set for Saturday, November 28 at Daikin Park in Houston, Texas.
Our take
two 40-minute WarGames matches on one card is too much of a good thing. Both were busy and both were well received, but the format works best as a single closing spectacle. The women’s match had the better story — AJ Lee making Becky Lynch tap set up their feud for the Women’s Intercontinental title, which Lee won at Elimination Chamber and Lynch won back at WrestleMania 42.
