Hard to Kill, first held in 2020, opens TNA's year each January.
Hard To Kill was the January event that opened the TNA (then Impact Wrestling) calendar from 2020 to 2024. The 2024 edition in Las Vegas was the first pay-per-view held under the revived TNA name.
Since 2025, TNA's January event has been branded Genesis instead. We keep this page as the record of Hard To Kill's history and link to Genesis for the current January show.

A fan's guide
Hard To Kill's five editions (2020–2024) were TNA's January kick-off, and its 2024 show is remembered for launching the return of the TNA name. Fans looking for TNA's current January event should follow Genesis.

Our take
Hard To Kill's final edition was also its most important: it launched the TNA rebrand with two title changes that set the tone for 2024. Replacing it with Genesis — a name with older TNA history — fits the company's return to its roots.
We think TNA was right to keep a strong January event regardless of the name; it gives the company a fresh start each year before WWE's Royal Rumble season.
What's next
TNA's next January event is expected to be Genesis 2027.
