What happened
The 2025 Crown Jewel was the first held outside Saudi Arabia, staged at Perth Arena in Western Australia in front of 13,683 fans. Its signature champion-versus-champion format produced two winners: Seth Rollins beat Cody Rhodes for the men’s Crown Jewel Championship and Stephanie Vaquer beat Tiffany Stratton for the women’s version.
The match fans will remember: John Cena against AJ Styles, a 27-minute dream match in Cena’s farewell year that Cena won. Three months later Styles’ career ended at the Royal Rumble in a Career Threatening match against Gunther, which makes this the last great singles match of his WWE run.
What’s next: Crown Jewel 2026 returns to Riyadh on November 7. The women’s match is confirmed as Liv Morgan against Chelsea Green; the men’s Crown Jewel Championship is expected to be Roman Reigns against Sami Zayn.
Our take
Bronson Reed beating Roman Reigns in an Australian Street Fight opening the show was a strong statement for Reed, but the rest of 2026 showed how quickly WWE moved on: Reigns won the Royal Rumble and the World Heavyweight title within six months.
