What happened

All In 2026 at Wembley Stadium was the biggest night of AEW’s year and it was booked like a season finale: seven titles changed hands, including both singles world championships. Will Ospreay beat Kenny Omega with the Hidden Blade to win the AEW World Championship for the first time, eight weeks after winning the Owen Hart Cup at Forbidden Door.

Ospreay at Wembley was always the plan, and it was the right one. He is the best British wrestler of his generation, he had earned the shot by winning the Owen Cup, and beating Omega — who had only just won the title back from MJF on July 8 — made the win feel earned rather than gifted. AEW then had him keep the title by winning the eight-man Clockwork Carnage match at WrestleDream on October 17.

Andrade El Ídolo winning the Casino Gauntlet makes him No. 1 contender to Ospreay. After turning on MJF at Forbidden Door, Andrade is the most logical next challenger on the roster.

Our take

Our take on the rest: Mercedes Moné winning the Women’s World title from Willow Nightingale paid off her Owen Hart tournament win, and Darby Allin taking the TNT title from Kevin Knight in a Falls Count Anywhere match was the most AEW thing on the card. Seven title changes is a lot for one show; it refreshed every division at once but also meant several champions who had only just been crowned were gone within weeks.
