The IPF World Classic Championships, first held in 2012, are the world championships for raw (Classic) powerlifting.
The IPF World Classic Championships are the world championships for raw powerlifting under the International Powerlifting Federation, the sport's largest drug-tested federation. Classic means lifters may use a belt, knee sleeves and wrist wraps, but no supportive suits or bench shirts.
Lifters compete in bodyweight classes; the winner of each class is the lifter with the highest total of their best squat, bench press and deadlift. A points formula, such as DOTS or IPF GL, ranks lifters across classes.
