What happened
The college dual-meet season runs from November to February, with teams meeting head-to-head across all ten weight classes. The 2025–26 season ended the way the last several have: with Penn State winning the Big Ten and NCAA titles, setting the team scoring record in March for the third year running.
Why duals still matter: rankings, conference seeding and NCAA allocations are shaped by dual results, and the dual season is where most fans see their team in person. The NWCA National Duals give programs outside the Big Ten a championship of their own; Northern Iowa won the 2026 Division I bracket at home.
Our take
the sport still needs a true national dual championship that the top programs attend. Until it has one, the best duals of the year will be the Big Ten regular-season meets between Penn State, Iowa, Ohio State and Nebraska. The 2026–27 season starts in November; we will add marquee dual results here as they happen.
