History & key moments
A fan's guide
Full Gear's history of world title changes makes it the AEW show to watch if you care about the top championship. It also tends to feature the Casino Gauntlet or other multi-person matches that create new contenders.
The show is held in November, often on the East Coast, and streams on pay-per-view and AEW's streaming partners.
Our take
Full Gear's track record of world title changes — 2021, 2022 and 2025 — makes it the AEW show most likely to produce a new champion. That gives it an edge over most autumn events in wrestling.
For 2026, the question is whether Will Ospreay's reign continues through November or whether Full Gear repeats its habit.
What's next
Full Gear 2026 is expected in late November. Andrade El Ídolo, winner of the All In Casino Gauntlet, is the most logical challenger for Ospreay.
