Our take
Mitchell has been close for a long time: runner-up here in 2025 and third at World's Strongest Man in April. Winning three of the six events, including the decider, is the performance of a contest winner rather than a consistent placer.
Jardine’s win is the bigger upset. Carrasquillo had owned this contest, and Jardine beat her by being second or better in five of six events and winning the one that mattered.
