What it means for US fans
For US viewers, very little changes on screen: WWE premium live events stream on ESPN, and Riyadh is seven hours ahead of New York in April, so WWE will need to schedule the shows for a US evening audience. For fans who travel to WrestleMania each year, Riyadh is a very different trip from Las Vegas or Philadelphia.
Our take
This is a commercial decision first, and WWE’s partnership with Riyadh Season has been one of its most lucrative. WWE’s Saudi shows have delivered big-event atmospheres, and a stadium WrestleMania there will look spectacular.
The cost is the in-person experience for WWE’s core audience, and the criticism of WWE’s Saudi partnership that has followed the company since 2018. WrestleMania’s identity as a week-long gathering of fans in an American city will not travel easily.
The road to WrestleMania 43 runs through Crown Jewel, Survivor Series, the Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber. See every WrestleMania result on our WrestleMania page and the latest on our WrestleMania 43 page.
WWE in Saudi Arabia
| Year | Event |
|---|---|
| 2018 | Greatest Royal Rumble; first Crown Jewel |
| 2019–2024 | Crown Jewel and other events in Riyadh and Jeddah |
| 2026 | Royal Rumble held in Riyadh (January 31) |
| 2027 | WrestleMania 43 in Riyadh (April 10–11) |
WWE’s partnership with Saudi Arabia began in 2018 and has grown into one of the company’s most important commercial relationships. The 2026 Royal Rumble in Riyadh was the first of WWE’s ‘big four’ events held there; WrestleMania 43 will be the biggest yet.
